A transit center provides a centralized location to catch the bus or make
a transfer. It will also provide passenger amenities such as weather
protection, route and schedule information, convenience retail and
services, restrooms, and staffed passenger assistance.
Parking, a taxi stand, and proximity to long-range bus, rail and future
rapid transit connections will allow people to move around the city and
region seamlessly. Improved
bus service and ridership will allow the city to grow without increasing
vehicular congestion and parking demand.
