The design character of the Riverfront Esplanade section of the Pigeon Creek Greenway was extended across the balance of the downtown riverfront frontage by an additional 1.1 miles and connects downtown to Sunset and Sunrise Parks.
The bicycle and pedestrian trail is ten-feet wide on top of the reshaped earthen levee. |

This overlook aligns with the sculpture garden entrance to the Evansville Museum of Art and Science.
Collaboration with artist Bill Leth led to a sculptural metal fence and gate into the garden.
Unattractive riprap along the earthen levee has been replaced with a mown turf slope down to the curvilinear gabion walls. |
