A runner heading east past the historic Pagoda Visitors Center.  The levee was raised up to 18" in this area to meet ACOE requirements and widened to accommodate the trail.

Special features:

  • concrete edge banding to prevent asphalt pavement ravel

  • levee control structures were refurbished

  • bollard downlights to minimize nighttime light pollution

  • limestone bench with skateboard deterrent detailing

  • a trailhead sign will be installed in spring 2004
